KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 6): Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) editor-in-chief Abdul Rahman Ahmad has ended his contract on Monday (Dec 6, 2021).

Abdul Rahman, 61, was appointed as Bernama editor-in-chief on Dec 2 last year.

A Selangor-born, Abdul Rahman who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications (Journalism) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), started his career in journalism with Bernama in Aug 1982 as a cadet reporter and served in the agency’s Terengganu Bureau, before being appointed as its correspondent in Melaka in 1990.

He was later appointed as deputy editor-in-chief of Bernama Audio Visual Service (Bernama TV) in June 2018, and was made deputy editor-in-chief (News) on Oct 1 2019.
