KUALA LUMPUR (April 12): Shares in ATA IMS Bhd rose 6.9% in active trade in the mid-morning after the company said an independent assessment found that its Johor Baru facilities adhere to both local and international labour standards, four months after allegations of labour issues resulted in the withdrawal of key client Dyson.

At 9.56am on Tuesday (April 12), ATA IMS was three sen higher at 46.5 sen, with 22.45 million shares done.

The company was embroiled in forced labour allegations last year, and its contracts with Dyson — which made up 80% of its revenue — were scheduled for termination in less than two months from June 1 onwards.
